Hi,
To prevent any hassle the best thing to do is to travel with only the cabin bag, because if the ground crew is on strike it can be chaotic trying to retrieve your luggage. So travel as light as possible and avoid having to check in the luggage. That is the only advise I can give, because if they are on strike you have to try to avoid any service that involves airport personnel as much as you can.

I'm sorry to inform that the metro closes at 1:00AM and opens at 6:30AM...
So if your flight is at 5:00H you need to be at the airport at least at 3:00AM. The metro is closed.
Your only option is taxi I don't recommend, or Uber (best option).
Taxi will try to cheat you. Uber the tariff is fixed.

If you already have a non refundable room booked, you can still enjoy Sintra without going to all these must see check list. First if there are no visits in the monuments, then that means the Sintra's village will be quite calmer, which is a blessing. Sintra is to be enjoyed with few peoplw, not loads of tourists. That is why i stopped going to Sintra the last 3 years. Sintra specially at dawn and dusk (and few peole) has a mystical feel. You can enjoy a walk in Peneda a nice village nearby and Ulgueira near the Cabo da Roca area, is an unique charming little village. I recommend staying the night in Sintra even with everything closed. Actually it is really an unique opportunity to enjoy the magic and mystique of this special place. Something you wouldn't be able if everything is opened.

There are cheap options, where you eat at the restaurant and they provide Fado singing at no extra cost. If you stroll around at night in Alfama you'll probably bump to one of these restaurants. Some of them has tables outside and the singing is outside. That is what I usually recommend if they want a dinner with fado. The Fado restaurants are overrated and expensive. But if you want to go to a restaurant and have the "experience" of dinning with a fado show for tourists, then prepare to pay for the meal and it won't be cheap. They don't let you just sit and listen to Fado with a cup of wine.
On the other hand you have the Fado experience where you pay for a fado show with a cup of port wine included for a reasonable price https://lisboaemfado.pt/pt/ This is a good option for example for an end of afternoon before dinner. Or you can go to the fado museum, they used to have a show everyday. Check their website.

Weather is a bit unpredictable, but in general in June, Tshirt during the day and light jacket at night.
It doesn't rain in June, but this year we had abnormal rain, so bring a light waterproof jacket or umbrella, or buy it here in a chinese store.
Last couple of Junes hasn't been particularly hot, but the previous years (2018-2022) had been very hot even hotter than July and August.
A light jacket and you are fine for Lisbon.
Porto is cooler, although for me a light jacket is ok, but if you want to be in the safe side, bring a light sweater. Do not bring a heavier jacket. You will be much conformable if you can layer according to the weather.

I've just past to one of the streets where they have plenty of jacarandas and even took a picture, but didn't realize I can't attach a picture in this message, but right now (May 18th, 2025) , they started to bloom. The effect is not that impressive just some shades of purple. I guess next couple of weeks will get much better.
Just like the sakuras in Japan, it varies from the start April if the winter is warm to the end of May, or mid May to mid June if the winter is not particularly warm, like this year. So your safest bet is come in the end of 3rd week of May.
