皆さま、こんにちは。
8月にゴールドコーストに行く計画を立てています。
サーファーズパラダイスに宿泊予定なのですが、海岸沿いを自転車で走ってみたいと考えております。
そこでお聞きしたいのですが、Limeというeバイクが気軽に乗れそうに見えましたが、年齢制限があるのでしょうか？18才以上と買いてある記載を見つけたのですが、どこに書いてあったから再度見つけたられませんでした。
そういった法律があるのか、教えていただけますでしょう。
乗りたいのは電動アシスト自転車(e-bike))で、eスクーターではありません。
13才と16才の子供が乗れなければ、自転車のレンタルを検討します。

結論からすると16歳以上が最低要件のように読めました。
また、クイーンズランド州の法律では、
To ride a personal mobility device, you must be either:
at least 16 years
or
at least 12 years and supervised by an adult while riding the device.
Children under 12 years of age must not ride personal mobility devices.

ゴールドコースト市のサイトにも同様の記載を見つけました。
Children aged 12-16 years must be supervised when using a personal mobility device (PMD), such as an e-scooter. Children under 12 years are not permitted to use a PMD.

Local rules and regulations
1 A helmet is required
2 Check the brakes and frame for damage before riding. Don't ride if it's damaged.
3 You are 18 years or older
4 Don't drink alcohol and ride
5 Only 1 rider per ebike.
6 In emergency call "000"
7 Customer Care "1800 861 305"
8 Wash your hands with soap & water or hand sanitizer with 70%+ alcohol content after your ride
9 Follow all QLD Bicycle Road Rules and Safety Laws.

英語で調べてみましたが、To create a Lime account, you must be the legal age to enter into binding contracts. In most countries, you must be 18 or older to ride Lime scooters or e-bikes. 翻訳すると、Lime アカウントを作成するには、法的に拘束力のある契約を締結できる年齢に達している必要があります。ほとんどの国では、Lime のスクーターや電動自転車に乗るには 18 歳以上である必要があります。との事でした。
